WebI think a lot of the issue is that people disagree on what "hide" and "hidden" means in terms of 5e. Both someone "actively hiding" behind a wall and someone who is just stood behind a wall are both not visible (and thus hidden) from the POV of someone on the other side of the wall, but in 5e the "hide" action is required for them to get advantage on their next attack.
