This mod is a great companion to Climate Control, which adds more seasonal gameplay effects (such as temperature), allows using rainfall profiles, and changes the rain effect to snow when it drops below 0 (no snow accumulation though :- ( ). Incompatible WebSomething Maxis (EA) severely misunderstood. The game has received regular free and paid updates since its release in 2015. Maybe it just feels limited since perhaps you've played with mods for a long time. I remember the same feeling but I also played for a yr on the console version and it was still super fun.
